hippo™ is a medical billing program designed to simplify the clerical aspects of filing claims based on the industry standard Health Insurance Claim Form, or CMS-1500. hippo™ is a Windows smart client application that works over the internet. This means that you can update patient, physician, and claim information from home or work while having a much better user experience than a web browser based program. It's the best of convenience and performance.

Claims (Click on the image to see a larger version.) Claim data is saved for future reference. The majority of information needed to submit a claim is included in the physician and patient items, so once that data has been entered once, creating a new claim is extremely easy. All that is needed is to enter the new services to bill on the claim. Claims are designed to print on the standard, red ink CMS-1500 form available from many clinical supply companies. This claim form is open to the patient item.

Physicians (Click on the image to see a larger version.) Physician data must only be entered once. Data is linked to claims as they are printed, so data is always current. Hippo supports an unlimited number of physicians in a single clinic, depending on the license level purchased. The license level may be upgraded at any time as your business grows.

Services (Click on the image to see a larger version.) Service data is entered on a per claim basis. You can choose to add up to 6 service items per claim and the basic accounting is done for you.
